If you want the smallest receiver on the market, yet have the ability to use it with any pet, big or small, timid or stubborn, this is the perfect receiver for you.
Features
- Five Levels of Programmable Correction:
- Level one is warning tone only - ideal for initial training or very timid pets
- Levels two thru four are for easy or average to train pets
- Level five is for very hard to train or stubborn pets
- Progressive Correction - if your pet attempts to leave the yard, the receiver will automatically increase the correction level until he returns
- Anti Linger so the animal cannot stay in the warning zone and run down the battery
- Low Battery Indicator Light - Lets you know when the batteries need replacing. The #1 cause of pets leaving a containment system are weak or dead batteries
- Waterproof
- Safety features include:
- Protection against false activation - Only our transmitter can activate the receiver. No false activation from Televisions, cordless phones, garage door opener etc
- Receiver Fail-Safe - If your pet gets trapped in the correction zone, the receiver will shut down after 20 seconds to protect your pet.
- Manufacturer #PUL-275
The Deluxe Ultralight Receiver comes complete with nylon collar, batteries and short probes for short hair dogs and long probes for long hair dogs. It is compatible with all PetSafe brand underground fences and Radio Fence and Pet Guardian Underground Pet Containment Systems.
We recommend you get extra batteries with your order. Initial system set up and pet training will create more drain on the batteries than normal. Typically the batteries included with the receiver will need to be replaced after 30-60 days. Battery life under normal usage averages 4-6 months.

How The Deluxe Radio Fence Works

The Transmitter plugs into a standard outlet and emits a radio signal that travels along an underground wire. You can adjust the signal to up to 15 feet from the wire. In most cases, a 4-6 foot signal field will be the best for optimal training. The lightweight receiver worn on your pet's collar picks up the radio signal and alerts him as he nears the underground boundary that you have customized for your yard. When he approaches the boundary, he receives a warning beep. If your dog does not return, he receives a static correction which is startling but not harmful. The maintenance free design and ease of installation offers tremendous savings compared to conventional fencing and other systems of this type.
It's easy to train your pet. By spending just 15 minutes a day working with your pet, he can be fully trained in a few days. You can train as many dogs as you want on the same system, as long as they are each wearing a receiver collar. Additional receivers are available if you have more than one dog.
We offer the flexibility you need to solve your installation needs. The conventional method is to bury the boundary wire underground approximately 1-2 inches deep. Using your own design, you can protect your flower and seedbeds, shrubs, trees and even swimming pools. The link below shows the most common ways to layout your Radio Fence, but there are almost endless ways of installing a system. For sample layouts Click Here.

Recommended Accessories
- Direct Burial Splices. These are waterproof splices that virtually eliminate any problems in the future with your splices.
- Extra Batteries. During fence set up and pet training, you will put a greater than normal load on the battery that comes with your dog fence. You may need to replace this original batter after 30-60 days depending on how much testing and training you do. Under normal circumstances battery life is 6-8 months.
- Fence Staples. Avoid having to bury the wire and cut your installation time in half. You should order one box of Fence Staples for every 500 feet of wire. Use one Fence Staple every 10 feet for best results.
- Additional Wire & Flags - "Just In Case" you measure wrong. Try BD-01 twisted wire--save the time and trouble of twisting your boundary wire. Twisted wire is needed to cancel the signal from the transmitter to the outer perimeter allowing your pet access around you home without getting a correction.
- Lightning Protection Module - If you live in an area that is highly prone to lightning or surges, you may want to consider our Lightning Protection Module. You can order the Lightning Protection Module on this page. Regardless, your system is covered under warranty against lightning or surge damage.
